DocFlat is a web-based tool that converts PDF documents to Markdown format. The Service extracts text, tables, and images from PDF files and generates structured Markdown output.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Upload files containing illegal content
- Upload files that infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use the Service to harm, threaten, or harass others
- Overload or attempt to disrupt the Service infrastructure
3.2 Content Ownership
You retain all rights to the files you upload and the converted output. We do not claim ownership of your content. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and convert the files you submit to the Service.
4. Service Limitations
4.1 File Restrictions
The Service has the following limitations:
- Maximum file size: 10 MB per file
- Supported format: PDF only
- No OCR support for scanned or image-only PDFs
4.2 Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.
5. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All uploaded files and conversion results are automatically deleted after 1 hour. We do not permanently store your documents.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by DocFlat and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our explicit permission.
6.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to your uploaded files and converted output. By using the Service, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the conversion service. This license terminates when your files are deleted (after 1 hour).
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- The conversion output will be 100% accurate
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Any errors in the Service will be corrected
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCFLAT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted to or through the Service
- Any errors or inaccuracies in the conversion output
- Any loss of your uploaded files or converted content

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DocFlat and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- The content you upload to the Service
10. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which DocFlat operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
